2009 Review and future plans!
What an amazing, unique, at times frustrating, yet fulfilling year it has been
for K90 in 2009.
In a year which has seen most of the worlds major financial
markets
ravaged by global recession, affecting all businesses
including the
music
industry
Mark has in fact experienced one of his most productive and
diverse years to date!
His international performing highlights have undoubtedly
been his
two
tours
to Australia and
New Zealand, one supporting his
acclaimed
fourth artist
album
'CRASH!' plus
an exclusive performance at one of
the
largest
dance
music
festivals to ever hit Australian shores
- the mighty
Defquon
1
in
Sydney, all
helping
to galvanize Mark's popularity as the complete
performer
on the world stage!
K90's productions have also been all over the headlines throughout 2009 with
his multi Radio One play listed tracks such as Dirty Games, Sleepwalking
and
the latest offering Kompendium double EP smashing dance floors all over the
world!
Mark's undoubted quality as a remix artist has also paid dividends this year
with
chart
topping
entries for AlexMo - Gone Away and the more recent Locked Trance for the Organ
Donors
which scooped the overall No1 spot in the Track it Down top 100!
But as another crazy year in clubland draws to a close, we look to the future with anticipation to see what the next will bring and fans of K90 will not be disappointed. Here's a few of our man's plans for 2010!
New year, new direction
After six amazing years with current management and DJ agency - Mainline Music, Mark has taken the decision to sign with exciting new DJ and management agency - Universal Talent. Mark would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Mainline Music especially Sam Findlay for helping to shape the K90 everyone knows and loves today.

Destinations Radio Show
Not content with simply writing, producing and performing some of the hottest dance music around, the award winning (Best Live Act - Hard Dance Awards 2008) Mark Doggett continues to shine with his ever popular radio show - Destinations! The two hour multi genre show showcases some of the up front material from K90’s very own, critically acclaimed Dataless Recordings imprint as well as some of the hottest titles burning holes in his CD wallet, and the dance floor! The show offers a perfect mix of the best, electro, tech trance, trance and techno, with of course a little bit of hard dance for good measure!
Quite simply, there are no rules…if its good, it deserves to be heard!

K90 returns from monster Dutch Festival Defqon 1 in Australia!
On his return from a second visit to Australia in 2009, Mark had nothing but praise for an event he's described as "surely one of the biggest dance music events to ever hit Australia!" we caught up with a jet lagged Mark to get the lowdown on all things 'down under dutch'! "Well, what can I say? Q Dance completely nailed it and for a first attempt at pulling a big crowd outside of your natural country, that's a massive achievement! He continues. "15,000 crazy aussie's dancing all day in post 30 degree tepretures...it had to be seen to be believed! Q Dance put on amazing show, the production was awe inspiring and something I was really honored to be part of!"
K90's alter ego gets unleashed!
After featuring as remix artist on K90's last two releases - Sleepwalking and Dirty Games, label boss Mark Doggett finally unleashes his Sparky Dog alias for a long awaited debut stand alone release. Dog Day Afternoon captures perfectly the vibe of a long hot summer with it's electro fueled bassline, catchy percussion and infectious melody! Think of sunset cocktails at cafe Mambo and you're there. You will NOT be able to get this tune out of your head!!!
Sparky Dog - Dog Day Afternoon DJ Magazine Review!
Sparky Dog is the alter ego of K90 for his more down tempo productions, as showcased here in 'Dog Day Afternoon'. Be sure to check out his 'Bleeps & Whistles' mix for a tougher electro edged tech-trance vibe.

Dirty Games - DJ Magazine Review!
'Dirty Games' is lifted from K90's current album 'Crash!' and is a perfect example of his shift to a darker, techier sound. The beats are tough, tribal and infectious to generate a driving rhythm over which sparse stabs burst into the mix to create nagging little riffs, while the icing on the cake is provided by killer diva vocal hooks about "dirty games". Big elements are a key part of any production, but combined with K90's renowned composing skills and the result is one killer track that will destroy dancefloors in both tech trance and cooler hard dance sets.
Rating: 5/5 (Money Shot - Simon Eve - DJ Magazine Issue #76 August 09)
